A Coronavirus Update: How Mailing Expert Is Handling The Situation
With escalating concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, at Mailing Expert we think it’s time to offer our assurance that we have contingencies and precautions in place to ensure that all our, and our clients’, operations continue smoothly.
First and foremost, all our staff have been fully briefed on the need to maintain common sense hygiene both in and out of work. Our office cleaning company is rigorously disinfecting all door knobs, phones, keyboards and other common touch points within the office as standard process. Hand sanitiser and antibacterial soap is available to all staff, who are encouraged to use it regularly and often. Kitchen areas are being disinfected by staff throughout the working day.
Staff whose role makes it possible for them to work remotely have been advised to do so. We have ensured that all systems can be monitored and run remotely, along with account management and data processing.
In the event that any single member of production staff require self-isolation, other staff have been trained to undertake production roles where necessary. Should it become necessary for all members of production staff to self-isolate, this would mean that we may not able to operate all the machinery on site. To handle such an eventuality, we have constructed a Disaster Recovery Plan which will help to minimise disruption.
Our Coronavirus Disaster Recovery Plan
- All the processes involved in production are documented. If necessary, a third party supplier from our approved list can undertake jobs.
- To help minimise delays in our ‘on demand’ client jobs, we are able to remotely move print files to our print machine suppliers.
Will postage be delayed because of coronavirus?
At present, Royal Mail and DSA providers are still functioning as normal for domestic mail. However, overseas postage may be delayed as a result of flight restrictions.
In summary, at time of writing it is business as usual at Mailing Expert. We continue to closely follow Government advice and guidelines, and are endeavouring to provide an uninterrupted service throughout this difficult time. As always, should you need any assistance or have any questions about your projects over the coming weeks, we are here and ready to help with whatever you need.
